TRAMPAS OCULTAS DE LAS CÉLULAS INFANTILES

En el trabajo con células infantiles es importante caminar con cuidado para no caer en algunas trampas que pueden volver el trabajo improductivo. Veamos algunas de esas trampas:

·      Enfocarse en las actividades antes que en la Biblia. El trabajo con niños puede deslizarse fácilmente hacia lo lúdico o las actividades manuales. Es una forma cómoda de entretener a los niños y conservar el control del grupo. No obstante, lo que en realidad se necesita es mantener la célula enfocada en la palabra de Dios. Esto no significa que la enseñanza no pueda ser creativa ni acorde a la edad de los niños. Solo significa que debe poseer un contenido completamente bíblico e instructivo.

·      Tomar la célula como un juego. El hecho que se trate de niños puede conducir a ver la célula infantil como menos importante que las células de adultos sobre todo cuando se ha desarrollado una teología que otorga a los niños la salvación sobre la base de su edad. Pero si se comprende que ellos también necesitan nacer de nuevo el trabajo se realizará con mayor dedicación acompañándolo de oración y de una dependencia total de Dios.

·      No darles un seguimiento serio. Si el trabajo de la célula se limita a que los niños hagan una profesión de fe para luego declararlos cristianos “por inercia” no se está realizando una labor del todo eficiente. Después de la conversión los niños deben ser alentados a congregarse, leer la Biblia y orar. También se les debe animar a bautizarse en agua respetando las regulaciones de cada congregación en cuanto a la edad para ser bautizados. El hecho es que se les debe tomar tan en serio como cualquier adulto. Ellos también experimentarán tentaciones, desaliento y luchas. Solamente una vida cristiana devota podrá darles la victoria.

Cuidando de estos elementos el trabajo con niños puede llegar a ser más eficaz que el simple adoptar una mecánica de trabajo para la atención infantil.

It is important to walk carefully with Children cells work to avoid falling into some traps that may turn the work unproductive. Let’s see some of those traps:

·      To focus on the activities rather than on the Bible. The work with Children can easily slip towards the ludic or the handcrafts. It is a convenient way to entertain children and keep control of the group.  However, keeping the cell focused on the Word of God is what is needed. This does not mean that the teaching cannot be creative nor in accordance to the children’s age. It only means that it must have a completely biblical and educational content.

·      To take the cell as a game. The fact that is about children can lead to see the Children cell as less important than adults’ cells especially when a theology that grants salvation to Children on the basis of their age has been developed. But if it is understood that they too need to be born again the work will be accomplished with outmost dedication accompanied with prayer and a total dependence on God.

·      Not giving them a serious follow-up. If the cell work is limited to have children make a profession of faith to be then declared Christians “by inertia”, the work is not been done fully efficient. After the conversion children should be encouraged to congregate, read the Bible and pray. They also should be encouraged to be baptized in water in compliance to the regulations of each congregation regarding the age to be baptized. The fact is that they should be taken seriously as any adult. They too will experience temptations, discouragement and struggles. Only a devout Christian life will give them the victory.

The work with children can be more effective looking after these elements than just adopting a way of working for the child care.

성경보다는 활동에 포커스를 맞추는 것. 어린이 사역은 게임이나 공작 시간으로 쉽게 빠져들 수 있다. 이러한 활동들은 어린이들을 즐겁게 하고 그룹의 컨트롤 하게 있게 하는 편리한 방법이기는 하다. 하지만 셀이 꾸준히 하나님의 말씀에 포커스를 맞추게 하는 것이 필요하다. 가르치는 일이 창의적이고 어린이들에게 즐거움을 줄 수 없다는 의미가 아니다. 셀은 성경적으로 포커스를 맞추어야 하며 어린이들을 도와 그리스도 안에서 성장케 해야 한다는 의미이다.

 어린이를 충분히 진지하게 대하지 않는 것. 어린이를 어른보다 "덜 중요하게" 생각하는 일이 가능하다. 이것은 특별히 어떤 자 아래 있는 모든 어린이들은 이미 "구원 받아" 천국에 가게 될 것이라고 믿는 자들 가운데서 그러하다. 하지만 어른들처럼, 어린이도 구원 받을 필요가 있음을 이해할 때, 우리는 어린이 사역을 어른 사역만큼이나 진지하게 대해야 할 것이다. 우리는 기도와 하나님께 대한 전적 의존의 태도로 어린이 사역을 시작해야 할 것이다.

 어린이에게 후속조치 하지 않는 것. 어린이 셀을 그리스도에 대한 믿음의 고백으로 제한한다면, 문제가 생기게 된다. 회심 이후, 어린이는 모이고, 성경 읽고, 기도할 것을 격려 받을 필요가 있다. 그들 또한 세례 받을 나이가 되었을 때 세례 받기를 격려 받아야 할 것이다. 그들도 다른 어른들처럼 진지하게 대해야 할 것이다. 어린이 또한 유혹, 절망, 근심 등을 경험한다는 점을 명심하라. 그들 또한 어른들처럼 승리하는 신앙생활이 필요하다.

어린이 셀을 단지 어린이 돌봄 정도로만 보기보다는, 어린이들은 미래임을 명심하고, 그들을 제자훈련 하는 일에 우리가 앞장서야 한다.
