LA VISIÓN DE LAS CÉLULAS INFANTILES.

El Salvador es uno de los países con mayor índice de homicidios en el mundo. La violencia de las pandillas provoca la muerte de un alto número de jóvenes y niños. La incorporación masiva de jóvenes de corta edad a las pandillas se produce en relación al grado de marginación social que viven. Desde hace más de veinte años el problema de las pandillas se ha convertido en la mayor preocupación de los salvadoreños. Varios gobiernos se han sucedido y ninguno de ellos ha podido dar solución al problema. Mientras tanto, las preciosas vidas de jóvenes y niños continúan perdiéndose.

Ante ello, la iglesia asume su responsabilidad dedicándose a la tarea de prevención de la violencia. Las células infantiles no solo son un método de evangelismo de los niños sino también el recurso por el cual se les brinda el calor de familia que no encuentran en sus hogares. Se les brinda una opción de aprecio diferente al de las pandillas y se les forma bajo los valores del evangelio.

Cuando uno de esos niños, de 4 años de edad, viviendo en condiciones de riesgo en un barrio pobre llegó a la iglesia y se le preguntaba qué deseaba ser cuando fuera grande: Pandillero, era la respuesta. Ahora, después de algunos meses de relacionarse con el evangelio y sus enseñanzas, responde que desea ser un bombero.

En la actualidad, la asistencia de niños a nuestras células infantiles es de un poco más de 28,000. Nuestra meta es poder alcanzar los 100,000. Porque ésta cantidad es casi el 10% de la población de la ciudad y, consecuentemente, puede provocar un impacto perceptible. Esa es la visión bajo la cual desarrollamos nuestro trabajo con células infantiles y es la motivación principal. Ver un país transformado por el evangelio de Cristo comenzando con los niños.

The vision of children’s cells.

El Salvador is one of the countries with the highest homicide rate in the world. Gang violence causes the death of large numbers of youth and children. The massive influx of younger kids to gangs is produced in relation to the degree of social marginalization they live in. For over twenty years, the gang problem has become the major concern of Salvadorans. Several governments have succeeded one another and any of them has been able to solve the problem. Meanwhile, the precious lives of young people and children continue to be lost.

In response, the church takes responsibility dedicated to the task of preventing violence. Children’s cells are not only a method of evangelism for children but also the resource through which they are able to experience the family warmth they cannot find in their homes. They are presented with a choice of appreciation different than the one of gangs and are trained on gospel values.

When one of those children, a 4 years old one, living in conditions of risk in a poor neighborhood came to the church and was asked what he wanted to be when he grew up: A gang member, was his answer. Now, after a few months of relating to the gospel and its teachings, he answers that he wants to be a firefighter.

Currently, children’s assistance to our cells is slightly more than 28,000. Our goal is to reach 100,000. Because this amount is nearly 10% of the city’s population and therefore, can cause a noticeable impact. That is the vision under which we develop our work with children’s cells and it is the main motivation. To see a country transformed by the gospel of Christ starting with children.

LA CULTURA DE LA PUNTUALIDAD.

Es muy conocida la tradición de impuntualidad que existe entre muchos latinoamericanos. Cuando los evangélicos acuerdan una reunión y fijan la hora, siempre hacen una pregunta: ¿Hora cristiana o salvadoreña? Con ello quieren preguntar si se comenzará con puntualidad o no. Se da por entendido que la hora salvadoreña es aquella que comienza 30, 40 o 60 minutos después.

Cuando nació la iglesia Elim lo hizo con un sentido de responsabilidad y honestidad. Eso se expresaba hasta en las cosas más sencillas como la puntualidad. El ser puntuales es algo que se logró luchando contra la tradición cultural. Al iniciar mi ministerio, llegó el día del primer culto dominical. Habíamos fijado la hora a las 9 AM. A esa hora, como es tradicional, no había nadie en la iglesia excepto el joven encargado de las alabanzas y yo. Al llegar las 9 AM le dije al joven que iniciara el servicio. Él se asustó y me respondió: - Pero si no ha venido nadie-

No importa, le respondí. Comience ya. Él volvió a preguntarme: - Pero ¿cómo voy a cantar si no hay nadie?-

-Yo voy a cantar con usted- le respondí. Debo aclarar que la iglesia apenas estaba naciendo. No teníamos instrumentos musicales ni músicos. Todos los cantos eran a capela. Creo que aquel joven se sentía ridículo al pasar al frente y saludar a los “hermanos” cuando realmente solo estaba yo. Y luego comenzar a dirigir los cantos cuando realmente solo cantaría él y yo. Pero el servicio comenzó puntual. En el transcurso, pude ver que los hermanos entraban al edificio apresurados a la vez que apenados por llegar tarde. Eso fue suficiente. Todos entendieron que la cultura de la iglesia incluía la honestidad con la hora.

Cuando comenzamos el trabajo celular, no tengo duda que uno de los elementos del éxito fue el comenzar a la hora establecida ¡Y finalizar a la hora ofrecida! Recuerdo una de las primeras células donde una señora invitada quedó sorprendida cuando la reunión en una casa comenzó puntual y finalizó a la hora mencionada. –Si así son las cosas, continuaré asistiendo- Recuerdo que dijo. Y así fue, ella continuó asistiendo y ahora ya tiene 25 años de ser fiel a Jesús. La puntualidad debe ser otra expresión de honestidad en las actividades cristianas.

The culture of punctuality.

The unpunctuality tradition that exists among many Latin Americans is well known. When evangelicals agree to a meeting and set the time, they always make a question: Christian or Salvadoran Time?  With this question they want to ask if it will start on time or not. It is understood that the Salvadoran time is the one that starts 30, 40 or 60 minutes later.

When Elim church was born it did so with a sense of responsibility and honesty. That was expressed even in the simplest things like punctuality. Being punctual is something that was achieved battling against the cultural tradition. At the start of my ministry, the day of the first Sunday service came. We had set the time at 9 AM. At that time, as usual, there was no one in the church except the young man in charge of the praises and me. When it was 9 AM I told the young man to start the service. He was shocked and said: But no one has arrived yet.

It doesn’t matter, I answered. Start now. He asked again:  But how will I sing if there is no one?

I will sing with you, I replied. I should clarify that the church was just being born. We didn’t have musical instruments or musicians. All songs were a cappella. I think the young man felt ridiculous to come to the front and greet the "brethren" when it was really just me. And then start to lead the singing when only I and he would sing. But the service started on time. Along the way, I could see the brethren entering the building with rush and embarrassment for being late. That was enough. Everyone understood that the church’s culture included the honesty with time.

When we started the cell work, I have no doubt that one of the elements of success was starting at the scheduled time and finishing at the time offered! I remember one of the first cells where a lady that had been invited was surprised when the meeting in a house started on time and ended at the mentioned hour. If that's the way it is going to be I will continue attending - I remember she said. And so, she continued to attend and now she has been faithful to Jesus for 25 years. Punctuality should be another expression of honesty in Christian activities.

LA PREPARACIÓN ESPIRITUAL DE LOS LÍDERES.

El trabajo de evangelización a través de las células es un esfuerzo por arrebatar a los perdidos de las tinieblas para llevarlos a la luz de Jesús. Esa es una batalla de carácter espiritual que no puede ser luchada con fuerzas humanas. Por el contrario, se trata de una batalla en donde solo la dependencia de Dios puede definir al ganador. Por ello, la preparación espiritual del líder resulta ser crucial al desarrollar eficacia en este trabajo.

La preparación espiritual del líder tiene una dimensión personal y otra congregacional. La iglesia puede aportar conocimiento, motivación y aliento para que en su individualidad la persona ejercite la dimensión personal. Por el lado congregacional, la iglesia puede ir un poco más allá y crear los espacios y condiciones para que el líder se fortalezca espiritualmente.

Una manera en que creamos esos espacios en Elim es por medio de la Conferencia Anual para Líderes y Supervisores. Se trata de toda una semana en que los líderes asisten diariamente a la iglesia para recibir formación, estímulo y proyección. Esta conferencia es exclusiva para los líderes y supervisores de célula y es un privilegio que se les otorga solamente a ellos.  Otra manera, es cuando desarrollamos actividades especiales o tenemos predicadores visitantes. Los invitados con exclusividad para esas ocasiones son también los líderes y supervisores. Para aquellos miembros que desean participar de estas actividades siempre se les señala el camino: volverse líderes de célula.

Otro espacio para la formación del líder es la que se ofrece por medio del servicio. Todas las personas que ostentan alguna función o cargo dentro de la iglesia tienen como condición el mantenerse activos en el trabajo celular. Esto incluye hasta las funciones menos relevantes que se puedan concebir.

La suma de todo ello, no tiene como propósito la discriminación de los demás. Sino solamente crear los espacios que contribuyan a la preparación espiritual de los líderes para que a la hora de ir a la célula se encuentren en condiciones de ser de bendición para los necesitados.

Leaders’ spiritual preparation.

The work of evangelization through the cells is an effort to snatch the lost from darkness to bring them to the light of Jesus. That is a spiritual battle that cannot be fought with human strengths. On the contrary, it is a battle where only the dependence on God can decide the winner. Therefore, the spiritual preparation of the leader turns out to be crucial to develop effectiveness in this work.

The leader’s spiritual preparation has a personal and a congregational dimension. The church can provide knowledge, motivation and encouragement so that in his individuality the person can exercise the personal dimension. On the congregational side the church can go a little further and create the spaces and conditions for the leader to be spiritually strengthened.

One way we create these spaces in Elim is through the Annual Conference for Leaders and Supervisors or Coaches. This is a week in which leaders attend church daily to receive training, encouragement and projection. This conference is exclusively for cell leaders and supervisors and it is a privilege granted only to them. Another way is when we develop special activities or when we have visiting preachers. The exclusive guests for those occasions are also leaders and supervisors. The way is always pointed to those members who wish to participate in these activities, and that is: to become cell leaders.

Another space for leader training is the one offered through the service. All persons holding any function or position within the church have as a condition, to maintain active in the cell work. This includes even the less relevant functions you can imagine.

The sum of all this, does not have as a purpose the discrimination of the rest. But only to create spaces that contribute to the spiritual preparation of leaders so that when they go to the cell, they are in a position to be a blessing to those in needs. 

PREPARANDO LA ENSEÑANZA DE LA CÉLULA.

La preparación de la lección para la célula es muy importante y debe comenzar varios días antes de la fecha de la reunión. Por esa razón, proporcionamos la guía para las lecciones con bastante anticipación. En realidad, en nuestro caso, la guía de lecciones cubre todo un trimestre y el líder la adquiere al inicio del mismo.

Recomendamos a cada líder preparar la lección con una semana de anticipación. Esto implica el leer no solamente el pasaje de la Biblia que se usará sino también el contexto en el cual se encuentra con el fin de familiarizarse con la idea global. Luego, se le sugiere leer la lección y tomar nota de las preguntas de aquellas cosas para las que quisiera una aclaración. Durante la reunión de supervisión que tendrá con su pastor de zona y con su supervisor durante la semana, podrá formular esas preguntas para aclarar sus vacíos. Además, tendrá la oportunidad de escuchar a otro líder desarrollar la lección como un ensayo frente a los demás líderes de su zona. Eso le permite tener una idea más completa del sentido de la enseñanza.

Pero, todo eso, no anula la responsabilidad que el líder tiene de prepararse a solas leyendo el pasaje bíblico en cuestión y revisando los puntos de la enseñanza. La misma es presentada de manera muy básica: una introducción, tres o cuatro enseñanzas centrales y una aplicación. Este formato se repite semana tras semana creando en el líder el condicionamiento para pensar en términos de introducción, cuerpo y aplicación sobre todos los pasajes de la Biblia que se enseñan. Eso, en cierta manera, ayuda para que el líder pueda desarrollar el hábito de montar una enseñanza ordenada sobre un pasaje de la Biblia. Estos procedimientos ayudan a la preparación de la lección.

Preparing the cell teaching.

The cell lesson preparation is very important and it should start several days before the date of the meeting. For that reason, we provide the lessons of the cell guide in advance. Actually, in our case, the lessons guide covers an entire quarter and the leader acquires it at the beginning of the quarter.

We recommend every leader to prepare the lesson with a week in advance. This involves not only the reading of the Bible passage that is going to be used but also the context in which it is located in order to get familiar with the whole idea. Then, we suggest him to read the lesson and take note of the questions of those things for which he would like a clarification. During the supervision meeting that he will have with his zone pastor and his supervisor or coach during the week, he will be able to ask those questions to clarify his voids. Besides he will have the opportunity to listen to another leader develop the lesson as a rehearsal in front of the other leaders of his zone. That allows him to have a better idea of the meaning of the teaching.

But, all that doesn’t annul the leader’s responsibility to prepare alone reading the Bible passage in question and reviewing the points of the teaching. This one is presented in a very basic way: an introduction, three or four core teachings and an application. This format is repeated week after week creating in the leader the conditioning to think in terms of introduction, body and application of all the passages of the Bible that are taught. That, in a way, helps the leader to develop the habit of preparing an ordered teaching on a passage from the Bible. These procedures help in the preparation of the lesson. 

LOS CANTOS EN LA CÉLULA.

Desde que comenzamos el trabajo celular en 1986 se estableció que en las reuniones de células no se debía permitir el uso de los dones del Espíritu a menos que estuviese presente un pastor. Dado que las células se multiplicaron rápidamente, cada vez fue más difícil que un pastor pudiese estar presente en cada célula. Eso llevó a que, en términos prácticos, los dones del Espíritu quedaran fueran del programa de la célula. Es decir, que por más de 25 años el hablar en lenguas, interpretar lenguas, profetizar y el ejercicio de los demás dones quedó suprimido. Por esa causa, el tiempo de las alabanzas se convirtió en el punto inicial del programa nada más.

No obstante, después de varios años reflexionando en el tema, llegué a la conclusión que habíamos dejado fuera de nuestro sistema un importante componente del culto cristiano y las mejores herramientas para la edificación del cuerpo de Cristo. Conversé sobre el tema con los pastores de distrito de nuestra iglesia y llegamos a la conclusión que lo mejor era abrir la puerta para el ejercicio de los dones del Espíritu en las células. El aspecto del orden dentro de ella se conservaría de la misma manera que Pablo lo conservó: por la instrucción.

En nuestra pasada conferencia anual para líderes y supervisores, hice una presentación del tema y se entregó a los hermanos la instrucción necesaria para el buen uso y regulación de los dones. Pero, lo más importante es que se les animó a procurar la manifestación de los dones en la célula. Dentro del programa, no hay duda que el Espíritu Santo puede manifestarse cuando lo desee. Pero, el momento más propicio es durante la alabanza. En los últimos meses, el tiempo de alabanzas ya no es más un punto del programa. Hoy es un momento cuando se construyen las condiciones para que el Espíritu Santo pueda manifestarse. Eso hace que la alabanza se vuelva viva y muy sentida. Las células han recibido una renovación desde el momento mismo en que inicia el programa pues las personas están hoy ansiosas de lo que el Espíritu Santo hará.

The songs in the cell.

Since we started the cell work in 1986 it was established that it wouldn’t be allowed the use of the gifts of the Spirit in the cell meetings unless a pastor was present. Because cells multiplied rapidly, it became increasingly difficult for a pastor to be present in each cell. In practical terms, that led the gifts of the Spirit out of the cell program. This means that for more than 25 years speaking in tongues, the interpretation of tongues, prophecy and the exercise of the other gifts were suppressed. For that reason, the time of praise became the starting point of the program and nothing more.

However, after several years reflecting on the subject, I concluded that we had left out of our system an important component of the Christian worship and the best tools for building up the body of Christ. I talked about the issue with our church’s district pastors and we concluded that it was best to open the door to the exercise of the gifts of the Spirit in the cells. The aspect of the order within the cell would be preserved in the same way that Paul preserved it: by the instruction.

In our last annual conference for leaders and coaches, I made a presentation on the topic and gave the necessary instruction for the proper use and regulation of the gifts to the brethren. But most important, we encouraged them to seek the manifestation of the gifts in the cell. There is no doubt that within the program the Holy Spirit can manifest itself when He pleases. But the best moment is during praise. In recent months, the time of praises is not a point in the program anymore. Today is a time when conditions for the Holy Spirit to manifest are built. That makes the praise become alive and deeply felt. The cells have received a renewal from the moment the program starts since today people are anxious of what the Holy Spirit will do. 

UNIENDO EL TRABAJO DEL EDIFICIO CON EL DE LAS CASAS.

Cada vez que me preguntan cuántas personas asisten al edificio de nuestra iglesia, debo tomar un momento para calcular y sacar un aproximado de ese número. Pero si me preguntan cuántas personas asisten a nuestras células puedo decir con bastante exactitud ese número. Lo mismo ocurre si me preguntan por el número de líderes o de supervisores.

La razón de ello es que al adoptar el modelo celular, hace 27 años, la motivación principal era la de alcanzar a muchas más personas con el evangelio de Jesús. Eso, solamente lo lograríamos si todos los miembros de la iglesia se comprometían activamente en el cumplimiento de la gran comisión. De manera que nos enfocamos en evaluar los resultados de cada semana confrontándolos con la meta propuesta. De esa manera, se originaron los reportes semanales que dan información detallada sobre las células.

No obstante, nunca nos preocupó el número de personas que asisten al edificio de la iglesia. Obviamente, parte de la falta de preocupación era que al estar ligadas las células con la vida de la iglesia, los líderes traían sus invitados y amigos a la gran celebración. La reunión en el edificio de la iglesia sigue la norma de que en la medida que crece la cantidad de líderes, crece la asistencia a la celebración. La reunión en el edificio es solamente el signo visible de lo que ocurre durante la semana en las pequeñas reuniones en las casas.

De manera, que el énfasis siempre ha sido el trabajo en las casas. La gran reunión en el edificio es la cosecha de la semilla que se sembró en las casas. Las conversiones en su mayor parte, son de personas que antes han escuchado las buenas nuevas en las casas. Al llegar a la celebración, las personas ya llegan bastante sensibilizadas. El mérito por las personas que creen no es solamente del predicador sino de todo el equipo celular que trabaja cada semana por alcanzar a otros para Jesús.

Joining the work of the building with the work in the houses.

Every time I’m asked about how many people attend our church building, I have to take a moment to calculate and draw an estimate of that number. But if I am asked about how many people attend our cells I can say that number with some accuracy. The same happens if I’m asked about the number of leaders or coaches.

This is because when adopting the cell model 27 years ago, the main motivation was to reach many more people with the gospel of Jesus. We would make that happen only if all of the church members would actively commit in fulfilling the Great Commission. So we focused on evaluating the results of each week confronting them with the proposed goal. The weekly reports that give detailed information about the cells were originated in that way.

However, we never worried about the number of people attending the church building. Obviously, part of the lack of concern was due to the fact that since the cells were linked with the life of the church, the leaders brought their guests and friends to the celebration. The meeting at the church building follows this rule: as the number of leaders grows, the attendance to the celebration grows. The meeting in the building is only the visible sign of what happens during the week in small house meetings.

Thus, the emphasis has always been the work in the houses. The big meeting in the building is the harvest of the seed that was planted in the houses. The conversions for the most part, are from people who have previously heard the good news at the houses. When people come to the celebration, they come already quite sensitized. The credit for the people who believe it is not only for the preacher but for the entire cell team that works each week to reach others for Jesus.

A igreja orientada por células.

Toda vez que me perguntam quantas pessoas participam em nossas reuniões, tenho que ter um tempo para calcular e dar uma estimativa do número. No entanto, se sou perguntado acerca de quantas pessoas participam nas nossas células, posso dar uma resposta imediata. A mesma coisa acontece se sou questionado sobre o número dos líderes ou discipuladores.

Isso ocorre porque ao adotarmos o modelo de células há 27 anos, a principal motivação foi alcançar muito mais pessoas com o evangelho de Jesus Cristo. Nós percebemos que não atingiríamos nosso objetivo, a não ser que tivéssemos todos os membros da igreja ativamente comprometidos em cumprir a Grande Comissão. Como fizemos isso? Avaliando os relatórios semanais do evangelismo da célula e da multiplicação. Por meio dos relatórios, podíamos identificar se estávamos cumprindo o nosso objetivo de alcançar San Salvador com as células.

No entanto, nunca estivemos preocupados com o número de pessoas que frequentavam o prédio da igreja. Parte de nossa falta de preocupação residia no fato de que as células estavam intimamente conectadas com a vida da igreja, e os líderes naturalmente traziam seus convidados e amigos para a celebração. A frequência na celebração segue essa regra: à medida que o número de líderes cresce, a participação nos cultos de celebração também cresce. Na realidade, a reunião no prédio é apenas um sinal visível do que acontece durante a semana nas pequenas reuniões nas casas.

Assim, a ênfase sempre foi o ministério das células. As grandes reuniões são a colheita do que foi plantado nas casas. Até mesmo nossas conversões nas grandes reuniões são principalmente de pessoas que primeiro ouviram as boas novas nas casas. Quando as pessoas vêm às celebrações, elas já vêm sensibilizadas pelo evangelho. Nós em Elim percebemos que a colheita que temos experimentado não é o trabalho de um pregador apenas, mas o trabalho de uma multidão de ministros por meio do ministério das células. 

EL ESTUDIO BÍBLICO EN LAS CELEBRACIONES

En iglesia Elim la enseñanza de la palabra de Dios posee un lugar central. El mayor énfasis y esfuerzo se coloca en la enseñanza. Por ello, los cultos de celebración son muy importantes para la formación de los líderes, tanto los nuevos como los que se encuentran en funciones.

Dado que no tenemos un auditorio lo suficientemente grande como para recibir a toda la iglesia al mismo tiempo, debemos dividirla en seis servicios el día domingo y en los días de semana la iglesia se distribuye en tres días distintos para asistir a la celebración. El día domingo el énfasis principal es el evangelismo y es el día cuando los líderes llevan a la mayor cantidad de invitados a la celebración.

En cambio, los días de semana, el énfasis se encuentra en la formación de la iglesia. El énfasis se coloca en la enseñanza de la Biblia. Cada día se estudia un libro de la Biblia que se desarrolla de manera muy sistemática versículo a versículo. Este es un estudio muy elaborado y detallado. Por ejemplo, nos tomó siete años completar el estudio de Mateo. Con otros libros también ha sucedido algo muy parecido.

Al final del proceso, los líderes cuentan con un panorama muy sólido de cada libro y han recibido herramientas de exégesis que les permite avanzar en su propio estudio bíblico. Ellos están pendientes del estudio de cada semana y emocionados por continuar. Muchos adquieren las enseñanzas en audio o en video y van coleccionándolas hasta que al final tiene una colección de entre 120 a 160 enseñanzas en un libro en particular. Es un proceso que la congregación disfruta en gran manera. Esto les permite ser cristianos con fundamentos sólidos y, consecuentemente, mejores líderes de células.

The Bible study in the celebrations.

At Elim church the teaching of the word of God has a central place. The major emphasis and effort is placed in the teaching. Therefore, the celebration services are very important for the training of leaders, for both new and acting leaders.

Since we don’t have a large enough auditorium to receive the entire church at the same time, we have to divide it into six services on Sunday and on weekdays the church is distributed into three separate days to attend the celebration. Evangelism is the main emphasis on Sunday, and this is the day when leaders take as many guests as possible to the celebration.

On weekdays, instead, the emphasis is on the training of the church. The emphasis is placed on the teaching of the Bible. A book of the Bible is studied each day which is systematically developed verse by verse. This is a very elaborated and detailed study. For example, it took us seven years to complete the study of Matthew. Something very similar has also happened with other books.

At the end of the process, the leaders have a very solid overview of each book and have received exegesis tools that allow them to advance on their own Bible study. They are expecting each week’s study and are excited to continue. Many acquire the teachings on audio or video and collect them until having a collection of about 120-160 teachings of a particular book at the end. It is a process that the congregation enjoys greatly. This allows them to be Christians with strong fundamentals and, consequently, better cell leaders.

Estudando a Bíblia nas grandes reuniões.

Na Igreja Elim, o ensino da Palavra de Deus tem um lugar central. Nossa maior ênfase e esforço estão em ensinar a Palavra de Deus. Portanto, os cultos de celebração são muito importantes para o treinamento de líderes, para ambos, os que estão na função e liderança e para aqueles que estão sendo treinados para assumir uma liderança.

Como não temos um auditório grande o suficiente para receber a igreja inteira de uma só vez,  temos que nos dividir em seis cultos no Domingo, e nos dias da semana, a igreja está distribuída em três dias separados para atender às grandes reuniões. Evangelismo é a ênfase principal nos Domingos, e este é o dia em que líderes e membros convidam o maior número possível de pessoas para as celebrações.

Por outro lado, nos dias da semana, nossa ênfase está no treinamento da igreja, por meio do ensino da Bíblia, versículo por versículo. Um livro da Bíblia é estudado a cada semana, e esse livro é desenvolvido sistematicamente, versículo por versículo. É um estudo muito detalhado e elaborado. Por exemplo, levamos sete anos para completar o estudo do livro de Mateus. E foi muito parecido o que aconteceu com os outros livros.

No final do processo, os líderes tem um panorama muito sólido de cada livro e receberam ferramentas de exegese que os permitam avançar no seu próprio estudo da Bíblia. Há muita expectativa pelo estudo de cada semana. As pessoas não querem perder. Além disso, muitos daqueles que frequentam esses cultos de ensino, adquirem os ensinos em áudio ou vídeo, e os colecionam. Na verdade, muitos têm uma coleção de aproximadamente 120 a 160 lições de um livro em particular, ao final do estudo. É um processo que regozija a congregação. Isso permite que eles se tornem cristãos com fundamentos bíblicos fortes, e consequentemente, melhores líderes de célula.
